Our 2020 Graduates

We would like to honor those who are graduating from high school or college.

 

Jarrett Romine graduated May 7 from the University of Nebraska Medical Center as a Doctor of Dental Surgery with honors from the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology.


Brian Doel (nephew of Donna Gradert) and his wife Michele Doel will be graduating from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, MO - - Brian with a "Master of Divinity" and Michele with "Master of Arts in Spiritual Care with Deaconess Certification".  They have been called to  Our Savior Lutheran Church in Minot, North Dakota.  Brian will be ordained June 14th.


Will Blocker, 2020 High School Graduate from Highland Park High School. He has no current plans other than to continue working at his current job. 


Connor Works is graduating from the University of Kansas this spring with a Bachelors of Science in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology. He is planning to attend medical school with the ultimate goal of becoming a physician. 


Jacob Daniel Whitcomb, son of Jennifer Meier and grandson of Calvert & Mary Meier graduated from Topeka West high School. His science and graphic design classes have been his favorites and he's looking forward to seeing where he can go with his interest in graphic design. 

 

Christian Goodenow is the son of Bethel Bellamy-Goodenow and Robert David Goodenow. He is also the grandson of Dr. Pete and Nannette Zander.  He has been accepted at the University of Kansas to study Behavioral  Neuroscience on a Pre Med track. 


Mary Shults graduated from Rossville High School. She will be attending Colby Community College,  and will be studying to become Vetanarian Nurse. This is a two and a half year program, and Colby is highly recognized for their Vet Nursing program. We believe Mary will be a very successful Vet Nurse, because she has a special gift and heart in relating with animals.  Mary also plays the saxaphone, and will be receiving a Band scholarship at Colby Community College. We are very proud of Mary. 


Brandan Bauerle is graduating from Washburn Rural High School. He is also graduating from Washburn Tech as an Automotive Technician. During this uncertain time, Brandan plans to take a break from school and just work. He has considered continuing his education at Washburn University in the future.
